Eye In The Sky (Cover Version of The Alan Parsons Project)

Eye In The Sky

Beautiful song from Alan Parsons. I am very thankful to this talented musical group. It started when I was 15 years old and caught my ears when I was in the record shop. The best song I love from them is TIME. and the rest also nice too. Their mind set is similar to mine and time for us to go to outers pace very soon.

"Eye in the Sky" is a 1982 song by the British rock band The Alan Parsons Project from the album Eye in the Sky. It hit #3 on the Billboard charts in the U.S. in October 1982,[1] #1 in both Canada and Spain, and #6 in New Zealand and was their most successful release. The instrumental piece entitled "Sirius" segues into "Eye in the Sky"' on the original recording. Lady Antebellum's 2010 hit "Need You Now" has been heavily compared to the chorus.[2]

Eye In The Sky

From: Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia.

The 1:54 minute instrumental piece entitled "Sirius" immediately precedes "Eye in the Sky"' on the original recording, which then seamlessly leads into "Eye in the Sky" as a second track. On the single release, "Eye In The Sky" appears on its own, with "Sirius" edited out; this is the version that was usually played on pop radio at the time. However, Album-oriented Rock (AOR) and classic rock stations almost exclusively include the "Sirius" intro. "Sirius," meanwhile, has become a staple of many big-time college and professional sporting arenas throughout North America, and is best known in the U.S. as the instrumental song that was used to introduce the starting lineup of the Chicago Bulls for home games played at the old Chicago Stadium and then the United Center in the 1990s, during their run of six NBA championships between 1991 and 1998.[3] The instrumental piece (along with "Eye in the Sky") will be also used as the entrance song to the Chicago Cubs starting in the 2017 season[citation needed].

"Sirius", meanwhile, is best known in the U.S. as the instrumental song that was used to introduce the starting lineup of the Chicago Bulls for home games played at the old Chicago Stadium and then the United Center in the 1990s, during their run of six (6) NBA championships between 1991 and 1998. The piece has also been used by the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks to introduce their starting lineup during home games. The Utah Jazz also used the instrumental piece to introduce their starting lineup for Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals, which was played at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 14, 1998. Since the 1994 season, "Sirius" has played before the Nebraska Cornhuskers' home football games as part of the pre-game Tunnel Walk.[2][3] In Italy, Serie A team Sassuolo Calcio use this song when the team enters the pitch at the home games. In Australia the piece is used by the Melbourne Rebels when introducing their starting lineup. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat used an abbreviated version of "Sirius" as his entrance music for his 1980s tenure in the World Wrestling Federation.

"Eye In The Sky" is heard on the 2002/2003 video game compilation Activision Anthology on the virtual tape deck in the main menu.

Reports surfaced in November 2010 that Lady Antebellum's single "Need You Now" has the same melody as "Eye In The Sky".[4]

Don't think sorry is easily said
Don't try turning tables instead
You've taken lots of chances before
But ain't gonna give anymore
Don't ask me, that's how it goes
'Cause part of me knows what you're thinkin'

Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusation before
And I ain't gonna take any more
Believe me, the sun in your eyes
Made some of the lies worth believing

I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see anymore
To know that
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind

Don't leave false illusion behind
Don't cry I ain't changing my mind
So find another fool like before
'Cause I ain't gonna live anymore
Believing some of the lies
While all of the signs are deceiving

I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see anymore
To know that
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind

I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see anymore
To know that
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind (looking at you)
I can read your mind
